Moira Lascelles

Moira Lascelles is a curator based in London and specialising in architecture.

She is currently working as Curator of Special Projects at The Architecture Foundation and previously acted as Consultant Curator for 2010 London Festival of Architecture, organsing a wide range of events across the city including devising and producing the Union Street Urban Orchard.

Moira is currently managing the South Kilburn Studio, a project that sees creative tenants receiving free rent in return for training local young people in their profession. She is also running competitions for high profile clients in London and St. Petersburg as well as managing a variety of international exchange programmes.

In 2007 Moira worked in the communications department of Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture contributing to the PR strategy for the CCTV building in China and working closely on Al Manakh and the Hermitage project in Russia.

She has held positions at CABE, Phaidon Ltd and ING MEDIA and has been published in numerous trade publications.

Moira has a special emphasis on social projects in her work and is interested at looking creatively at meanwhile uses of disused spaces. She is Editor of the Union Street Urban Orchard : A Case Study of Creative use that was published by The Arhitecture Foundation in May 2011.
